At the heart of Amplified Radio Solutions is Perry Mayer, owner and lead technician. Perry is a U.S. Navy veteran who served six years as an Aegis Firecontrolman, specializing in the repair and maintenance of classified radar systems aboard Navy destroyers and cruisers. With over two years of accredited electronics and electrical engineering education through the Navy, Perry brings military-grade precision and passion to the world of amateur radio.

His love for electronics runs deep—passed down from his father Frank Mayer, an Extra Class ham radio operator with over 60 years of experience. Inspired by his father’s legacy, Perry earned his General class ham radio license and became deeply immersed in the technical side of amateur radio.

Since his honorable discharge 14 years ago, Perry has dedicated himself to mastering the craft of radio repair and support. Today, he and the Amplified Radio Solutions team are here to help you keep your radios running strong—and help the amateur radio community thrive.
